Istanbul Airport is only 40 kilometers from the Taksim-Sisli area, considered the city center. There are two routes;
There are many transportation options to the airport, which is located on the European side of Istanbul.
A taxi or private car from the city center to Istanbul Airport takes 30-40 minutes, while the airport bus numbered HVIST-16 takes 40-50 minutes, and the (M11) Gayrettepe-Istanbul Airport metro takes 30 minutes.
You can also connect to the M2 Yenikapi – Haciosman Metro Line with both the airport bus and the M11 metro line.
If you will be a departing passenger from Istanbul Airport and will use a private transfer/taxi or HVIST-16, please consider the traffic density at the beginning and end of the weekdays.
