If you left your car in the multi-store parking lot, you can quickly reach the departures floor from the P5 floor using the moving walkway. You can also use the elevator if you go to other floors. The open car park, which is the top floor of the airport car park, is the closest car park to Istanbul Airport Departures Terminal.

There are porters at points close to all the doors, and as you get out of your vehicle, they will politely approach you and help you carry your luggage.
They ask if you need it. This is a paid service and is generally charged per bag. The porter carries your luggage to the check-in desk and his service ends there.

Domestic and International check-in counters are grouped into one huge hall, but it’s not confusing at all. Check-in counter blocks B, C and D are reserved for domestic departure flights, and all other blocks are reserved for international departure flights. A few separate and noticeable blocks are reserved for Turkish Airlines, the country’s flag carrier airline. There are two separate check-in counter for Business Class passengers and families (Family First check-in) within these blocks.

By the way, we recommend that you remember that Istanbul Airport is one of the busiest airports in the world and that you be ready at the terminal at least 3 hours before your flight. Turkish Airlines generally opens its counters 4-5 hours before the flight, while other airlines open their counters 2.5-3 hours before the flight and start baggage collection.

If you have exceeded your visa period, the Visa Violation office is located on the domestic flights side, next to check-in counter block B. You can easily pay your visa violation penalty here before boarding your international flight.

If you want to protect your luggage from breaks and scratches before handing it to check-in, you can find the Baggage Wrap service in front of entrance gate number 5 (or next to Check-in block L). At this point, you can combine your two luggage or have your luggage covered separately with protective materials.

The passport control section of Istanbul Airport is located behind the J and H check-in counter blocks.

At this zone you will see 3 different passport control section. (1) One is a standard passport control queue, there are two sections: those with a Turkish passport and others), (2) the e-passport section that can only be used by those with a Turkish passport, and the (3) Fast Track Passport control pass, which is open to all passengers who have purchased special services.

There are five piers at the terminal, called A, B, D, F, and G.
